Gravity heat pipes for power semiconductor elements such as diodes, transistors, thyristors, integrated circuits (IGBT modules) are a mainstay of HPM Therm development and production. Normally the elements contact the pipes which are the evaporative section and the condensation section [usually the fins] is cooled by air.
Gravity heat tubes work upright or in an angle up to 5o from horizontal with the condensation section set above the evaporative one. Air-cooling is realized by free convection (chimney effect) or by air feeding with the help of a ventilator.
Some of the standard types of coolers:
1,2 - for forced circulation
3,4,5,6 – for free convection
* adjustment of some design dimensions is available after consulting the manufacturer
Some of the models produced:
7, 8, 9, 12 – for forced circulation
10, 11 – for free convection
